In the summer of 1995 I was asked by Kathy Vargas, Visual Arts Director of the Guadalupe Cultural Center, to create a Dia De Los Muertos installation for their eponymous exhibit in November of that year.

I assembled a multi-panelled sequence of photographic and video-still images coupled with modified vernacular Mexican epigrams about death, titled Vox Populi – La Muerte En Entredicho.

The installation was included in a retrospective exhibition of my work in November of 1995, curated by Richard Arredondo at the San Antonio College, and was selected to be part of the 1996 Muestra Latinoamericana-Fotoseptiembre exhibit at the Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City and Museo Arenal in Puerto Rico.
