At the request of the City of San Antonio’s Design Enhancement Program, I created and developed the Airport Art Spaces exhibitions program, designed the galleries, and curated, produced and promoted the exhibits for the City of San Antonio Aviation Department from 1995 to 2005.

In 1996 (after a festival pilot run in 1995) we started our first official FOTOSEPTIEMBRE USA exhibitions collaboration with Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City, presenting the Fotoseptiembre Latinoamericano ’96 exhibit of photographers from Mexico and San Antonio which I curated for the San Antonio Airport Art Spaces.

Bob Owen, Jerry Lara, and Rick Hunter, from the San Antonio Express News, were in the exhibit Press Pass, showing images from their travels in Mexico. The exhibits of images by Mexican photographers were El Tiempo, El Mundo Y El Hombre by Rury Fischelt; A Window On The Campo by Laura Cano; and De Sol A Sol by father and son José and Llehi Sol.

Kathy Vargas, a renowned San Antonio photographic artist, was co-coordinator for the exhibit.
