1999 : Michael Mehl – Curator : El Arte Que Nos Mueve Exhibit At Airport Art Spaces : San Antonio TX
At the request of the City of San Antonio’s Design Enhancement Program, I created and developed the Airport Art Spaces exhibitions program, designed the galleries, and curated, produced and promoted the exhibits for the City of San Antonio Aviation Department from 1995 to 2005.
For several years, Jeep® (Daimler Chrysler) and Montemayor y Asociados (Daimler Chrysler’s San Antonio Hispanic Advertising Agency), had produced an annual juried competition awarding the work of Hispanic artists from all over the United States and Puerto Rico; all of whom were expressing their particular notion and style of Jeep® as a vehicle of choice for the Hispanic community.
Together with Felix Padrón and Greta de León, I curated the exhibit El Arte Que Nos Mueve : The Artistic Spirit Of Jeep exhibit for the San Antonio Airport Art Spaces. The exhibit included the works of 36 artists.
